Local MP to speak at Housing Meeting in Yate

Thornbury & Yate MP Steve Webb will be speaking at a public meeting organised by Yate Town Council to discuss the future of house-building in the town.

The meeting will take place at Yate Leisure Centre at 7.30pm on Friday 23rd July.

Mr Webb said:

"There is a lot going on regarding house-building and I think there is a lot of confusion".

"We have seen the success of the Regional Spatial Strategy being scrapped and yet, just as that is happening, consultation starts on building 3,000 homes and prospective application is lodged by Barratt Homes for 250 homes.

"Residents could be forgiven for not knowing what is going on."
