Local MP Steve Webb this week joined local staff from Morrison's in presenting gardening equipment to the 'Conservation Club' at Kings Court School. The club is run by teacher Gemma Rigby.

The school has been collecting vouchers from Morrison's and accumulated one of the highest totals in the country. They were awarded a mixture of equipment including trowels, gloves, watering cans, planters and seeds. The items were presented in a special school assembly.

Commenting, Steve Webb said:

"It is very encouraging to see young people taking an interest in learning how things grow and in growing their own food. The Conservation Club is an excellent venture and I hope that many other schools will be able to find a space within their grounds where similar activities can take place".
