Chance to Work for a Local MP!
An opportunity has arisen for a local person to work for
Northavon MP Steve Webb as part of his Yate-based team. The MP, whose
offices are at Poole Court, Yate, is seeking to recruit a part-time
member of staff to assist with responding to correspondence from
constituents, including the increasing volume of e-mail traffic.
The current post-holder, Mark
Poarch, who has been in the role for the last eight years, is taking up
a post as chief executive of a Bristol-based charity.
Steve Webb said:
"Providing a first-class service to local people is one of my top
priorities as an MP. My Yate-based team help me with drafting responses
to correspondence and letters to ministers and often deal directly on my
behalf with government agencies. I am looking to recruit someone to the
team who cares about our local area and who shares my commitment to
working on behalf of local people".
Anyone interested in working for Steve can download a
job description and person specification below. The closing date
for applications is Friday 17th October.
