West MP Declares Expense Claims - Open Letter

Dear Resident,

You may have seen a good deal of coverage in the press in recent weeks about the allowances that MPs can claim in connection with their work.

I have always believed that MPs should be totally open about what they claim and have voted in support of the independent audit of MP expenses which is now to be introduced.

In the interests of openness, I am posting my expenses on my website so that you know exactly what money I claim in connection with the work I do on your behalf.

Please click here for a list of the allowances which MPs can claim, a brief explanation of what each is for, and a report of the money I claimed under each heading in the first quarter of 2008/09.
