Cinema 4 Yate Update

Plans for a cinema for Yate are still alive, but have been delayed by the sale of Yate shopping centre by previous owners CIT.

Northavon MP Steve Webb has now had a meeting with representatives of the new owners, the Englander Group, who have confirmed that they are positive about the idea of a five-screen cinema.

Their first priority is to resolve plans for the leisure centre / library part of the centre, but it is anticipated that plans for the cinema should be clearer by Easter 2006.
